Terms of service

Matchday is made and published by Shygo.Dev (Rasheed Bou Hamdan). Questions: info@matchday-tracker.com. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

What Matchday is

Matchday helps a group of people organise a recurring football game: who is playing, which teams, who scored, and how the season went. It is a tool for the group that runs the game. It is not a league, a booking service, or a payment service.

Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to have an account.
• You sign in with a Google account or an email address. Keep that login safe. What happens under your account is your responsibility.
• One person, one account. Do not pretend to be someone else, including another player in your group.
• You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. See Delete your account for what is removed and what the group keeps.

Groups and organizers

• Whoever creates a group is its organizer. Organizers add players, set up matches, record goals, and can remove members. They can pass that role on or share it.
• A join code or invite link is the way into a group. Share it only with people you want in the group. Organizers can rotate the code at any time.
• Match results and player statistics belong to the group as a shared record. If you leave a group or delete your account, the matches you played in stay in the group's history with your name removed from your player, as described in the privacy policy.
• Organizers are responsible for what they record. Matchday shows the score the group logged. It does not referee.

What you may not do

• Use the app to harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone.
• Enter names or content that is abusive, unlawful, or that you have no right to use.
• Try to get into a group you were not invited to, or to reach data that is not yours.
• Interfere with the service: probing, scraping, flooding, or working around its limits.
• Sell, rent, or resell access to the app.

If someone breaks these rules we may remove the content, suspend the account, or close it. We will say why when it is safe to do so.

Your content

Names, nationalities, positions, scores and votes you put in stay yours. You give Shygo.Dev a licence to store, show and process that content so the app can work for you and your group, and for nothing else. We do not sell it. The privacy policy explains what is collected and why.

The watch and fitness data

If you turn on match tracking on a watch, the app records heart rate, distance, steps and speed for that match and stores them against your player in your group. It is off until you turn it on, and you can leave it off. It is a record of a game, not medical advice.

Availability and changes

• Matchday is provided as it is. We aim to keep it running, but it may be unavailable, slow, or lose data. Keep your own record of anything that matters to you.
• We may change or remove features, and may stop the service. Where we can, we will give notice in the app first.
• We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do. Big changes are announced in the app. Using the app after a change means you accept the new terms.

No warranty, limited liability

Matchday is free software for amateur football. To the fullest extent the law allows, it comes with no warranty, and Shygo.Dev is not liable for any loss arising from using it or being unable to use it. This includes a wrong score, a lost match record, or an argument about who really scored. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

Store terms

The app is distributed through Google Play. Google's terms also apply to the download and to any purchase made through the store. Google is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app.
